Season 3 of How To Get Away With Murder is coming to an end this week with a special two-hour finale. The winter finale already left us all breathless and I have the feeling that the same thing will happen in a few days. We all want to know what really happened the night Wes was killed but the episode we got to watch after the Christmas break are not helping.
I have to admit, as it usually happens when I watch this show, that I am extremely confused and I have absolutely no idea on who might have killed Annalise Keating’s favourite student. The only thing I am sure of is that Frank, Connor, and Nate, the three main suspects, are innocent. But who killed Wes then?
Reading the various reactions to the latest episodes on social media, I’ve come across different conspiracy theories regarding who might be the murderer. Some people don’t trust Meggie’s sketchy behaviour, most of all her trying to be friends with Laurel. Why would you want to be friends with the girl your late ex-boyfriend cheated on you with? No one would do that.
Other people, on the other hand, still find Connor incredibly suspicious. In the last episode, we saw Connor trying to reanimate Wes in Annalise’s house before the fire. But why would he want to reanimate the guy if he was the one who killed him? It is true that he’s been acting weird and heartless but I strongly believe that was just some sort of defence for all the bad things that are happening to him and his friends.
I personally can’t wait to finally find out what led to Wes’ death and to admire once again the genius of the producers that created this whole incredible story.
The most recent episode of season twelve sees our favourite hunters busy in hunting down a powerful demon together with their mum and the angel Castiel. Unlike the rest of the episodes of Supernatural, “Stuck in the middle (with you)” starts by showing the dream team already at work on a case while they try to come up with a plan to kill the demon. The storytelling of the episode in not linear, in fact, which makes the whole story way more engaging and interesting. I guess this is one of the qualities that has allowed the show to run for at least 13 years: the capacity to invent and find new elements and plots that are still able to entertain the audience. The plot of this episode is by far one of the best we’ve seen during this season and the introduction of flashbacks and flashforwards made it even more intriguing.
Dean, Sam, Castiel and Mary have to deal with a demon, an incredibly powerful one. He is, in fact, one of the Princes of Hell, almost as bad as Lucifer himself. Castiel gets severely injured in the fight against Ramiel, the demon, as he stabs him with the lance of Michael, a lance that kills angels softly and painfully. Thanks to the help of Crowley, aka the King of Hell, they manage to defeat Ramiel and save Castiel from his death.
In this episode we find out that Mary is working with the British Men of Letters while hiding it from her boys. Is she going to cause a lot of troubles? Are Sam and Dean going to get really mad at their mum when they find out? Yes, yes to both and honestly I look forward for when it happens.
“Shameless US” is now on its 8th season and a lot of things have happened in the series during this time. The creators of the show have made good decisions at times but on some occasions, they made some of the worst choices ever. An example? Sending Mickey Milkovich to jail, let him break out and run away to Mexico.
In his early days in the series, Mickey is a cold hearted, tough trouble maker. His family is even more dysfunctional than the Gallagher so he always has to invent new illegal ways to earn money to live. He is reckless, selfish and violent. But this is just what he wants other people to think of him, it is just a facade that he puts on to look dangerous and scary.
This mask he wears all the time starts to fall, disappear when Ian manages to win his heart. Mickey doesn’t want to admit, mostly to himself, who he truly is. He doesn’t accept being gay. He hides. He suffers because of his homophobe, abusive dad.
In all the hustle that is his life, he finds his safe haven, Ian. Thanks to their relationship Mickey changes. His character develops: he is now caring, selfless and incredibly supportive. During this time Mickey becomes fans’ favourite character as we all got to see his true colours. It is right at this point that producers decided to cut Mickey off from the show sending him to prison.
Fans didn’t appreciate Mickey’s exit, mostly because of the beautiful relationship between Ian and Mickey but also because Mickey’s character is a great example of how it is important to accept who we really are even if the world tells us that is wrong.
It is not a secret that American and British TV series are the most popular amon audiences. We never hear much about other countries’ shows, so here’s my top 3 favourite foreign TV series!
In a little town in the French Alps, some members of the community have to face a scary reality when dead people they once knew and loved are brought back to life without an apparent explanation. Les Revenants(“The Returned”) is a French drama that I recommend to whoever enjoys TV Series filled with mystery and gloomy atmospheric vibes.
If you want to know more about “Les Revenants” you can watch the series trailer here.
Fisica o Quimica:
Looking at the title “Fisica o Quimica” (“Physics or Chemistry”) you might think this Spanish show is something that your science teacher might want to watch. Well, that’s not the case. Throughout 7 seasons, the series tells the story of a group of students and their teachers. It is everything you would expect from a teen drama: love, friendship, bullying, are just a few of the many interesting topics the series deals with.
If you can bear the low-quality video and the bad early 2000’s haircuts, “Fisica o Quimica” should be on your list of TV Series.
“Skam” (“Shame“ ) is a young adult TV series about a group of Norwegian teenagers and their lives. It had an incredible success in the last months of 2016. The series has become more and more popular on the internet during its third season which focused mainly on Isak and his love story with Even.
You can follow the characters of the show on Instagram and Facebook as if they were actual people. I find this a great and engaging idea!
“Game of Thrones”, “The Walking Dead”, “The Big Bang Theory”. These are just a few of the major TV hits that have been produced in the last decade. Despite the excellent quality of today’s TV Series, some of us really can’t let go of old shows we grew up with in the late 90’s, early 2000’s. In fact, television is going through a proper reboot/revival era with the production of several prequels, spin-offs and sequels.
The greatest revival of 2016 was without a doubt “Gilmore Girls: A Year in The Life“. Public opinion was rather split in half after the four new episodes aired: some people thought they weren’t just as good as the original seasons while others, as myself, perceived the four hours special as the right way to show how the characters’ lives changed during these years.
Lately, there have been a lot of rumours going around about many series that might come back to the little screen with new episodes in the next months or years. It has already been confirmed that The CW is been working on a prequel of “Charmed” (1998-2006). The network has already ordered a script in which three new witches will try to defeat demons and evil warlocks in the 1970’s.
FOX, as part of this TV’s revival trend, is bringing back “Prison Break” with ten new episodes that will take place a few years after the end of the show. Both stars Wentworth Miller and Dominic Purcell are set to come back as lead characters. Click here to watch the newest trailer!
Other TV cults that we are going to see again soon are: “Will and Grace”, “Twin Peaks”, “Star Trek”, and hopefully “Veronica Mars”.
After years of exhausting wait, fans finally got to watch Sherlock‘s fourth season. Well, the happiness for the new episodes didn’t last long as it is already over, but it was worth it. Sherlock is once again on hiatus but what really scares us all is the possibility that “The Last Problem” wasn’t just the season finale but it could turn out to be the series’ last episode ever!
*SPOILER ALERT – 4X03*
The end of season four shows our “Baker Street boys” back to their lives as investigators now that all the drama with Moriarty and Eurus Holmes has come to a solution. For the first time, there weren’t any major plot twists or cliff-hangers in the last sequence of the finale and, according to the endless conspiracy theories going around on social media, this could be a sign that Sherlock days are over.
Despite all the angst and despair this news is bringing into our lives, there’s always hope in the Sherlock fandom. Rumours said that a secret fourth episode was going to air next Sunday, but unfortunately, Steven Moffat has recently denied it. The Sherlock fandom is used to the constant anxiety that the show brings into their lives once every 40 years (when new episodes come out) so they’ll be able to accept that this might be the end of their favourite show.
Best moment in the history of television: Moriarty making his great come back stepping out of the helicopter while dancing to “I want to break free”. Let’s face it, we were all jumping around our living rooms with tears of joy in our eyes. Until we read “5 years ago” at the bottom of the screen and we realised that Jim Moriarty, the best villain in the history of villains, was actually dead. RIP Jimmy.
2017 is finally here! So let’s not waste more time and let’s have a look at some of the Tv Series we should definitely be excited for.
The incredible Christmas special of two hours that was uploaded to Netflix in December was just an anticipation of all the great stories and characters we are going to see in the second season of Sense8. It will air on May the 5th 2017 on Netflix, save the date!
Another great return that everyone is looking forward to. Where did Eleven go after the end of that brilliant last episode? Is Will okay? Well, we’ll hopefully find our answers when the second season airs later this year.
3.Star Trek Discovery
The iconic sci-fi series is back with new characters and new adventures, in May on CBS and Netflix. The plot is still unknown and there are many rumours going around but we know for sure that for the first time in the 50-year history of the franchise, an Afro-American woman will be the main character.

4.When We Rise
This docudrama miniseries that will air on ABC in February will show the battles and achievements of the LGBTQ movement from the Stonewall riots to modern days. The series created by Dustin Lance Black celebrates all those people who fought for their right to love.
Ryan Murphy‘s (“Glee”, “American Horror Story”) new series will take you into popular feuds between famous people. The fist season will revolve around the actresses Bette Davis and Joan Crawford and their rift. Jessica Lange, Susan Sarandon, Sarah Paulson and Stanley Tucci are just some of the stars of this series.
